Prompt, calm response prevented a fatality
In March 2023, Ottawa Hospital Protection Agent Kristyn Enright was proactively patrolling exterior areas of the facility, when she discovered an unresponsive male subject laying on the ground by one of the entrances. Agent Enright conducted a welfare check and learned that the man did not have a pulse.
Agent Enright immediately administered Naloxone and began chest compressions. She alerted the medical teams and activated a code RACE. After several minutes of continuous CPR, the man regained consciousness and started to breathe again.
Thank you, Agent Enright! Your diligence and sustained CPR efforts saved this man’s life.
