Lifesaving efforts at George Brown College
In October 2024, the security dispatcher at George Brown College was alerted that a staff member at the college was experiencing a medical emergency, including difficulties breathing. All appropriate operatives on duty were dispatched to the scene.
Site Supervisor Dylan McCarthy and Emergency Medical Responder Amanpreet Kaur arrived on scene and found the man unconscious and unresponsive. He was not breathing, and was lying on the floor with active bleeding from the head.
Immediately, EMR Kaur initiated CPR and performed chest compressions and continued them until EMS and police services arrived. Shortly thereafter, the man began breathing on his own and was transported to the hospital where he recovered.
Thank you!
