Retail security dispatch in action
In November 2023, Security Officer Vinay Kundu was on duty in the Conestoga Mall Dispatch Centre when he was advised of a medical emergency/overdose in a stall in the public washroom.
Officer Kundu swiftly coordinated the security team’s response from the Dispatch Centre. The team was able to remove the man from the washroom stall and began administering CPR and Naloxone, while Officer Kundu contacted 911 and monitored the situation.
Ultimately, the man was revived and transported to hospital by paramedics.
