Retail security officer saved a life

In November 2023, Security Officer Robin was on duty at Conestoga Mall, when he was advised of an unconscious male in a washroom stall. Responding with his team, Officer Varghese removed the man from the stall, and discovered drugs and drug paraphernalia on the ground beside him.

The individual was unresponsive to voice and touch, and 911 was contact for an EMT response.

Officer Robin’s team administered a dose of Narcan, with no response. A second and third dose were administered, after which the man became responsive to touch.

The man was treated on-scene by EMTs and then transported to hospital.
