Congratulations to our Q3 winners, who saved lives in a fire
In June 2025, a fire emergency occurred in a condominium development, where the quick response, calm leadership and coordinated teamwork of Site Supervisor Rohan Rohan and Security Guard Deepesh Kandhari helped prevent what could have been a tragic outcome.
Site Supervisor Rohan responded immediately when he received a report of smoke on the 19th floor of the condominium building. Upon arrival, he found a woman with a two-month old baby in a smoke-filled unit. He calmly and professionally evacuated the family, then instructed Security Guard Kandhari to contact 911 and coordinate with emergency services.
Supervisor Rohan also assisted the building superintendent in extinguishing the fire, helping to contain the situation before it escalated further. Afterward, he ensured the family’s wellbeing and provided extensive assistance to fire and police services during the investigation.
Kandhari, a trained security guard, also played a vital support role. He followed emergency protocol without hesitation, contacting emergency services and effectively relaying critical information, ensuring a smooth handover to first responders. His calm demeanor and clear communication significantly contributed to the successful resolution of the emergency.
We are pleased to announce Site Supervisor Rohan and Security Guard Kandhari as the winners of the Q3 2025 Canadian Security Lifesaver award, and were happy to celebrate their efforts at their awards ceremony.
Thank you!
