Exceptional performance, bravery and professionalism
While on patrol, Security Guard Tina Torgerson noticed that a person in the restroom was not responding to her.
Acting swiftly and decisively, Torgerson realized that the man had overdosed in the restroom and needed assistance. She immediately went to her desk and retrieved the first-aid kid and the Narcan kit, and called 911.
She then gave the individual a Narcan spray. The man’s face was turning purple, but the Narcan spray got him breathing again, and paramedics were able to get him transported to safety.
Security Guard Torgerson’s quick thinking, dedication to duty and commitment to the safety and wellbeing of others exemplifies the highest standard of professionalism and care, and allowed her to save a life.
Thank you!
