Close observation at a music concert
While working as a security guard at a music concert. Security Guard Gavenjot Singh noticed a male patron standing in line, who was looking pale.
Singh approached the man to inquire if he needed water or assistance when the man suddenly collapsed. Singh was able to break the man’s fall and lay him gently on the ground to begin a rapid assessment. With the man not responding to verbal or physical stimuli and having no discernable pulse or breathing, Singh radioed for a colleague to call 911 and then immediately began chest compressions.
After a brief period of administering CPR, the man regained consciousness and was placed in the recovery position until paramedics arrived. Paramedics praised Singh for his quick and effective intervention, which almost certainly saved the man’s life.
