Rapid response to a fire prevented a catastrophic event
Blackbird Security Tactical Security Guard, Gursimran Singh, from Vancouver, courageously responded to a fire that could have harmed multiple staff and shoppers.
When the fire was spotted, Security Guard Singh immediately grabbed a fire extinguisher and safely put out the fire. Thanks to his security experience, training, and rapid response, Security Guard Singh was able to prevent a potentially catastrophic event.
The fire investigator later indicated that if it was not for Security Guard Singh’s prompt actions, the fire could have led to serious injuries and extensive building damage, given the accelerant used, the old wooden structure involved, and the speed at which the flames initially spread.
The Blackbird security team are very proud that Security Guard Singh followed his training, was aware of his surroundings, and located emergency response equipment within seconds.
