Fast-acting teamwork saved a life in downtown Toronto

On Sunday August 29, 2021, Shift Supervisor Jordan Bennett was dispatched to respond to an unresponsive male in the men’s washroom at Atrium on Bay.

On arrival the male was found unresponsive and with a weak pulse. Jordan requested SOC Operator Andrew Hartley to contact EMS services, and then was quickly joined on scene by his partner, Patrol Guard Dillon Pierson.

Together Jordan and Dillon administered life-saving CPR until the male subject began to breathe on his own. Staff members were praised by EMS for their collective efforts, as the male would have likely expired had it not been for their heroic actions.
