Quick thinking may have saved a child’s life
Security Officer Mike Gallant was working on-site at the Moncton International Airport when a visitor ran inside, frantic because a seat belt was wrapped around her toddler’s neck.
Officer Gallant went directly to the scene, flagging down an airport maintenance worker on the way.
Remaining calm, Officer Gallant used his knife to cut the seatbelt and release the child.
Fortunately, the child didn’t suffer any serious injuries and and, other than being frightened, was soon calm and back to normal.
Officer Gallant’s immediate and decisive action may have saved the child’s life. Thank you, Mike!
