Lifesaving actions in a retail environment

In May 2025, an individual was found unresponsive in a Toronto retail facility.

The security team quickly jumped into action and began CPR. A first dose of Naloxone was administered without success, and the team began chest compressions. A second and then third dose of Naloxone was administered, but failed to rouse the individual.

The team contacted emergency services, and then, with the help of a doctor who was passing by, was able to help the man until EMS arrived and helped the man to regain consciousness. He was transported to hospital where we understand he was able to recover.

Thank you, Security Guards Hartley, Adedulopo, Musoke and Someobwana!
