Quick thinking and professionalism in response to a fire
In March 2025, while on duty at a residential property, Security Concierge Sohail Noman observed smoke and fire sparks coming from a section of the building. It was nighttime, which limited visibility, and the alarm did not immediately activate.
Immediately recognizing the urgency and potential risk of the situation, Noman activated the fire protocol and began coordinating the evacuation.
He made a clear and reassuring announcement over the building’s PA system, preventing panic and guiding residents to the lobby. Demonstrating leadership, he continuously updated residents, conducted a quick inspection of the affected floors, helping disoriented residents find safe exits and offering reassurance to those in distress. He also personally called residents on upper floors to ensure their safety.
When the firefighters arrived on scene, Security Concierge Noman worked professionally with them, offering valuable support and assisting in a smooth and safe evacuation. His quick actions, calm demeanor, and effective teamwork were crucial in handling the emergency and ensuring the safety of all involved.
