Saved a life in a local library
In May 2025, Security Guard Lucas Dewar was patrolling the local library when he came across a female patron, unconscious on the floor.
Upon further investigation, Dewar noticed that the woman’s breathing was very shallow and that her lips had turned purple. After failing to rouse her, and suspecting an overdose, Dewar administered Naloxone.
The first dose didn’t work, so Dewar administered a second dose, which woke the woman up.
When paramedics arrived, they stated that Security Guard Dewar’s actions, in all likelihood, saved the woman’s life.
Thank you, Security Guard Dewar!
