Teamwork responding to a medical emergency
The security team received a call from a grocery store, reporting a medical emergency on their premises.
When the team arrived, they observed a young adult male who had collapsed and was unconscious and unresponsive. After contacting Toronto Paramedic Services, they quickly determined that it was an overdose situation. Officer Balendran administered Narcan while Officers Singh and Umar provided assistance. Officers Amar and Mander provided crowd control and escorted the paramedics to the scene.
The individual then regained consciousness and was transported to a local hospital by paramedics.
