From security patrol to lifesaving actions
Mobile Security Supervisor Vipin Bishnoi attended a fairly routine callout from the monitoring station, reporting that two people were loitering in a loading bay of a low-rise commercial building in Surrey, BC.
Upon arrival on the scene, however, Supervisor Bishnoi found a male who was unconscious and unresponsive. He called 911 immediately and then began CPR, following the dispatcher’s instructions. He continued to provide CPR for 15 minutes, until paramedics arrived and were able to resuscitate the man.
This is another good example of security officers who are called out on ‘normal’ security incidents, but then find themselves in a position to provide lifesaving assistance to disadvantaged community members – and do so, without hesitation.
Thank you, Supervisor Bishnoi!
