Immediate action reversed an overdose
Allied Universal Security Guard Andrew Rooney was on duty at CGM in London, Ontario, when he discovered an individual who appeared to be experiencing an overdose.
The man was lying on the floor having a seizure, with his lips and hands turning blue and with laboured and raspy breathing.
Security Guard Rooney acted immediately, administering Naloxone and ensuring that the man was able to recover from the overdose. The man’s friend, who was standing nearby, warned Rooney that the man might be angry and aggressive as a result of the Naloxone ‘killing’ his high, but Rooney said that you just cannot let someone die in front of you.
Thank you, Security Guard Rooney!
