Cheryl Bowser Named Q1 2025 CSLA Winner

Recognized for her lifesaving response following an explosion

Cheryl Bowser has been recognized as a Q1 2025 Canadian Security Lifesaver Award winner for her immediate response and lifesaving actions during a serious emergency in Red Deer, Alberta.

While on duty, Bowser heard an explosion at a nearby business and immediately went to investigate and offer assistance.

When a man emerged from the building engulfed in flames, Bowser quickly stepped in to help. Using a fire suppression blanket, she assisted in extinguishing the flames and provided support until a nurse was able to take over his care.

Bowser continued assisting at the scene by helping with crowd control and public safety while emergency crews responded.

Her willingness to act without hesitation demonstrates the important role security professionals can play during unexpected and potentially life-threatening situations.

The Canadian Security Lifesaver Association is proud to recognize Cheryl Bowser for her courage, professionalism and commitment to helping others.
