Nooraldeen Amer Al-Ajely & Gareth Mathews Named Q4 2025 CSLA Winners

Recognized for decisive action during a life-threatening incident

Nooraldeen Amer Al-Ajely and Gareth Mathews have been recognized as Q4 2025 Canadian Security Lifesaver Award winners for their quick thinking and immediate response during a serious incident.

While on duty inside a public government building, Al-Ajely and Mathews responded when an injured individual in crisis attempted to climb over an atrium railing.

Recognizing the immediate danger, they acted quickly and pulled the individual safely back from the railing, helping prevent what could have resulted in a fatal fall.

First responders arrived shortly afterward, and the individual was transported to hospital for further care.

Their actions demonstrate the awareness, judgement and willingness to act that security professionals bring to the communities and organizations they serve.

The Canadian Security Lifesaver Association is proud to recognize Nooraldeen Amer Al-Ajely and Gareth Mathews for their actions and their commitment to protecting others.
