CPR training saved a life
While returning from his coffee break, Officer Jose Melvin Florida was flagged down by someone across the street, requesting assistance.
He immediately sent a radio transmission to the security command centre to notify them of what was happening: A woman appeared to be in medical distress and possibly overdosing near the train station platform.
Officer Florida and his teammates immediately performed CPR on the woman. Officer Florida was able to relay the necessary information to EMS personnel, via the command centre, which resulted in their quick response.
Thanks to Officer Florida’s quick response, and his ability to remain calm and collected under pressure, the woman got the urgent care she needed.
Thank you for your above-and-beyond service, and the extraordinary lifesaving actions you took, helping to keep our communities safe!
