Emergency first aid revived an individual
In November 2023, Security Officer Jagdeep Parmer was on duty at Conestoga Mall in Waterloo when he was advised of a medical emergency in a stall in the public washroom in the food court.
Responding immediately, Officer Parmer, along with his team, removed the unconscious individual from the stall. The individual was unresponsive to voice and touch, so 911 was contacted for an EMT response.
While waiting for EMT to arrive, Officer Parmer administered emergency first aid in the hopes of reviving him. Eventually, the individual became responsive to touch, and was then treated on-scene by EMTs and transported to hospital.
Thank you, Officer Parmer, for your sustained efforts!
