Overdose required Naloxone and CPR

While on duty at a retail location, Assistant Supervisor Gurkirat Chillna observed an individual who was not breathing, and rapidly turning purple.

Assistant Supervisor Chillna recognized the signs of an overdose and immediately started the first aid response. He administered Naloxone and started CPR with the help of Security Guard Abdirahaman Nunow.

However, it required five sprays of Naloxone and over 15 minutes of CPR by both security officers before EMS arrived on scene and was able to take over. Ultimately, the individual was able to breathe and was transported from the scene.

On the same day, in the evening, the team discovered a second individual who was also experiencing an overdose and provided life-saving CPR in that case as well.

Thank you, Assistant Supervisor Chillna and Security Guard Nunow, for your continued commitment!
