Calm and composed during a medical emergency
While on duty at the Calgary Courts Centre, Security Guard Reza Ashraf was approached by a woman, requesting medical assistance. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Ashraf immediately contacted his partner, Security Guard Mandeep Singh, for assistance.
Security Guard Singh swiftly arrived on scene and made contact with the woman, who confirmed she was in need of medical attention. Singh and Ashraf immediately called 911, and Singh followed dispatcher instructions attentively, gathering pertinent information about the woman’s condition and ensuring she was positioned safely as instructed.
When EMS arrived, Singh and Ashraf efficiently guided paramedics to the individual, facilitating a smooth handover. The paramedics then conducted a thorough assessment and transported the woman to hospital for further medical care.
