Effective first aid for a serious injury
In the summer of 2024, a tenant in a building where Security Officers Jordan Bennett and Kartik Nair were on duty feel off his bicycle while leaving the parking area. Unfortunately, the fall caused a severe cut in the artery of one leg, which resulted in serious bleeding.
Officers Bennett and Nair immediately attended the scene with a medical bag, where Senior Supervisor Nathaniel McNeil was able to dress the wound to prevent further bleeding until EMS arrived. The team was praised by EMS for their quick response to the injury, which could have resulted in catastrophic blood loss. The injured person was transported to the hospital, where they made a successful recovery.
