Good instincts in healthcare security
Security Guard Brian Bowyer was on duty in a healthcare facility when he encountered an individual who entered the facility as a non-patient.
Security Guard Bowyer observed that the individual was behaving erratically, and was trying to cross a partially-frozen lake but did not seem to know what they were doing.
He immediately contacted Protective Services for assistance. Ultimately, the individual was recovered from the lake after breaking through the ice, and was brought ashore by Protective Services. The RCMP was contacted to assist and took over the incident.
Had it not been for the diligence and good instincts of Security Guard Bowyer to recognize a situation of this magnitude, there could have been a very unfortunate alternative outcome.
Thank you, Security Guard Bowyer!
