Lifesaving efforts at Casino Nanaimo
In February 2024, Security Shift Manager Adam McDonald was on duty at Casino Nanaimo when a young man stepped on to the property, suffering multiple stab wounds from an incident offsite.
Security Shift Manager McDonald performed first aid, applying pressure to his wounds and comforting the victim until the RCMP and BCEHS arrived on-scene.
McDonald remained calm, collected and in control for more than 15 minutes until ambulances arrived and care was transferred to first responders.
