Exceptional vigilance going beyond the call of duty
While on patrol, Security Officers Yerlan Ospanov and Tej Manikandan observed a man lying on the ground in the middle of a bustling downtown road.
Recognizing the imminent danger posed to the individual by both passing vehicles and the man’s clearly compromised state, Officer Ospanov immediately alerted the security control room and obtained permission to approach the scene, which was outside their normal patrol route.
With the utmost care and consideration for the man’s safety, they approached, whereupon they were able to determine that he was severely intoxicated, injured, and exhibiting signs of both frostbite and hypothermia, and was therefore unable to move safely.
Understanding the critical nature of the situation, they swiftly relocated the man to a secure location on the sidewalk, away from the flow of traffic.
These decisive actions ensured the man’s immediate safety until emergency services arrived. The officers’ response and effective coordination in a challenging, life-threatening and time-sensitive scenario reflects their commitment to public safety and professional excellence.
