Lifesaving actions at the library
In June 2024, Paragon Security Mobile Supervisor Duane Montpetit was attending a regular site where he wakes the unhoused before the library opens.
During his regular patrol, he noticed an individual who was slumped over in a chair and who did not appear to be breathing. With the help of Ajax Parks Guard Santosh Singh, he immediately began CPR, administered three shots of narcan and called 911.
Ultimately, the individual regained consciousness and was able to get further help from the local authorities. Mobile Supervisor Montpetit’s calm, collected demeanor and care for the unhoused population in his regular site has helped him earn and keep the respect and trust of the community.
Thank you, Supervisor Montpetit!
